1. Training cooperation
Specialized training program on energy management system "Promoting energy efficiency in industry through system optimization and energy management standards" project by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and The United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) was implemented in the period from May 2011 to May 2013 by two international experts with high experience in energy management systems.
Participants in this training program are professionals from energy conservation consulting and management systems and a number of companies. Trainees have been trained in various forms such as classroom training, corporate training and distance learning via skype / basecamp exchange with monthly international faculty.
After finished the training program the experts have following abilities / skills:
Promote and provide advice on energy management systems according ISO 50001 for business managers to improve energy efficiency;
Technical assistance and consultancy for construction enterprises and operating energy management systems according ISO 50001;
Conducting workshops to raise awareness about the benefits and costs of implementing energy management system according ISO 50001;
Conducting 2 day training course for managers / staff about developing and implementing an energy management system according ISO 50001.

2. Cooperation on energy saving, environment
2.1. Low carbon transition project with the Danish government:
The Low Carbon Transition Project in the field of energy saving (LCEE) is a initiative on 2012 from long-term cooperation between the Government of Vietnam and the Danish Government on green growth in the energy field in Vietnam.
The project supports the National Target Program for Energy Efficiency and Conservation (VNEEP) and is implemented base on the partnership between the Ministry of the Climate, Energy and Danish Buildings, the Embassy of Denmark In Vietnam, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam and the Ministry of Construction of Vietnam.
The Energy Saving Office under the Ministry of Industry and Trade is the lead agency of the project.
The objective development of the project is to contribute to the sustainable development and transition to the low carbon economy of Vietnam through the enhancement of energy efficiency in small and medium enterprises and in construction project.
Components and main activities
The LCEE supports the VNEEP program in general, focusing on two main components and main activities include:

Component Small and Medium Enterprises
Assist the Ministry of Industry and Trade to promote energy efficiency in small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the three sectors of brick and ceramic production and food processing.
A budget of DKK 35 million, equivalent to $ 6.5 million, has been dedicated to building a sustainable financing mechanism that supports energy efficiency projects in SMEs in these three industries.

Activity
1. Develop a policy / action plan on energy efficiency and conservation in at least three sectors.
2. Raise awareness of SMEs on energy saving potential, technical solutions, technical assistance, and financial resources in at least 3 sectors.
3. Enhance the capacity to provide energy-saving and financial advisory services in at least three sectors.
4. Support the implementation of energy efficiency projects in the brick and tile and food processing industries.
5. Demonstrate energy efficient solutions in the food processing industry
6. Building trade cooperation between Vietnam and Denmark in the food processing industry.

5. Monitoring and evaluating process of implementing regulation
